2009 SVGS Success!

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered, walked, sponsored and supported the 2009 Snoqualmie Valley Great Strides! Saturday's walk was a huge success -- we had about 150 people coming from all over the state to participate. Mother Nature cooperated, giving us a crisp morning with NO RAIN! And despite the tough economic times, we raised $33,600 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation... and the money is still coming in!

I've posted photographs, courtesy of our official walk photography Keith Dolge, on facebook (you don't have to have a facebook account to look at them: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=115259&id=693156269&l=5c74873811

And MARK YOUR CALENDARS for next year's walk: September 25, 2010!

Make a Difference in Just 15 Minutes

"Making a difference" can sound like an overwhelming task in today's hectic world -- but you can make a huge difference in the life of a person living with Cystic Fibrosis by taking just 15 mintues out of your day.

1.) For Kaitie's Kingdom, go to http://www.cff.org/great_strides/CathyGallagher/ to see our fundraising letter (or click on the name of the team you support in the right-hand column).

2.) Copy and paste the letter (don't forget the picture) into the body of an email with a quick note -- something like, "Please help me make a difference by donating $20 through the link in the following letter from my friend/coworker/neighbor/relative who's daughter, Kaitie, has Cystic Fibrosis."

3.) Send the email to everyone in your personal, work, clubs, etc. contact lists.

If you send out the email to 10 people and they each donate $20, that's $200 -- send it to 50 people and it could mean $1,000! Every dollar counts and you never know which dollar it will be that funds the cure!
